John Nixon
John Nixon is a practicing Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgeon with thirty years’ experience of spinal conditions and spinal surgery: a conservative spinal surgeon using minimally invasive techniques. Based at The London Clinic, and Honorary Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Charing Cross Hospital, he is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College. Editor and Author of book on Spinal Stenosis and contributer to other books, John has written a number of articles on degenerative conditions of the Lumbar Spine. He organised the Annual Imperial College Spinal Surgery Course for several years, the course started by Harry Crock 15 years ago. In his spare time, John Nixon is a qualified Commercial Yachtmaster and an Ocean Skipper. He is a crew member of Clipper Round the World Ocean Yacht Racing Team. He is a Governor of Royal National Lifeboat Institute and Ships Surgeon to the Jubilee Sailing Trust which helps disabled people sail Square Riggers. |
